Intervention and Rapid Response Navigator – Sexual Violence Services (Female Applicants Only)
Starting salary £28,000 per annum | Full-time (35 hours per week) | Permanent
This role will initially involve regular office based (South & West London), as well as travel across London and community based and remote working. It is anticipated that this will evolve overtime in line with Service User and organisational requirements
Women and Girls Network (WGN) lead the London Gateway for Sexual Violence Services. The service is designed to address the difficulties survivors face in finding and accessing specialist support in London and acts as a single point of access service linking up survivors with appropriate services.
Navigators provide an empowerment-focused, first contact response to survivors which supports them to make informed decisions and to access the specialist services they need.
The Intervention and Rapid Response Navigator will support the effective delivery of the Gateway service by carrying out a range of activities supporting survivors of sexual violence and other stakeholders. This includes managing referrals arrival, assessments, and liaison and follow up with professionals, managing monitoring lists etc.
We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate individual with experience of supporting vulnerable people, preferably within violence against women and girls(VAWG) sector and with experience/knowledge of addressing barriers to accessing appropriate support. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong IT skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, telephone focused role.
