Welcome to the Women and Girls Network Legal Support Scheme, funded by the Mayor of London.
If you’re accessing this website, it’s because you’ve been referred to receive free legal advice and support as a survivor of a sexual offence.
This service aims to help you navigate the complexities of the criminal justice system by providing you with specialist legal help.
The lawyers work for Women and Girls Network and are completely independent of the police or CPS or any other state agency. All legal advice is confidential and protected by legal professional privilege.
This pilot programme provides legal advice to female survivors (including those who self-identify as female) aged 16+ who have reported a sexual offence to the police, about issues to do with the criminal justice process. The pilot programme runs until June 2025.
To find out more about the pilot please see the leaflets and information below.

Watch our video
Please do watch this three minute film which will tell you more about what to expect from our service.
You will hear from a lawyer who offers advice on privacy rights, Victim’s Right to Review, and other criminal justice system legal issues as part of this service.
Next you will hear from an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and from a survivor of sexual violence who explains how valuable this type of legal advice can be to someone in your position.
Together, they explain how this service will help support people who have endured trauma, on what can be a challenging journey in pursuit of justice.
