Who this course is for?

Women and Girls Network (WGN) training courses are funded by a variety of funders and therefore have different requirements. Below is an outline of attendance requirements. Please always check the information provided on our Eventbrite page to ensure you qualify to apply for the training.

Our accredited trainings and expert-led seminars are funded by London Councils (LC) under the 2nd Tier Ascent Project, and the criteria for applying to and attending these courses are set out below: These courses have been developed for front-line female staff, working directly with Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) working within London organisations. Please note due to funding requirements, this free course is only available to female professionals providing VAWG services in London. Due to funding restrictions, statutory organisations cannot access this free training.

Our one day Child Sexual Exploitation and Ending Harmful Practices trainings are funded by MOPAC and Angelou and have been developed for front-line staff working directly with VAWG working within London organisations.

Due to the level of demand for WGN training, and to ensure that as many organisations as possible are able to benefit from accessing training, we cannot accept more than 2 applicants from any one organisation for each course.

It is usually not possible to offer individual delegates a place on more than one training course within the same academic year (April-March).

What is your cancellation policy?

Please note WGN training courses are frequently oversubscribed and, when possible, we would like to offer places to other delegates on the waiting list. Therefore, if your application is successful and a place is allocated to you but you cannot attend the training, please notify us as soon as possible.

If you do not cancel your confirmed allocated place more than 48 hours before the course commences your organisation will be charged an administration fee of £50.00 per day. Once a place on the course has been offered and accepted, failure to attend or submit course work may result in a £50.00 fee.

Occasionally WGN may decide to cancel a course if the number of delegates attending would mean that delivery would not be cost-effective. We endeavour to give all delegates as much notice as possible of cancelled training.

What are the course requirements?

Please note that by attending this accredited training, you are agreeing to complete and submit, by the agreed date, the assignments that are attached to each course. Details of the assignments will be given out at the training.  You are also agreeing to attend all training sessions and complete all follow-up questionnaires provided by WGN. You will not receive credits for the course if assignments are not completed.

Our courses are free, however WGN will not be able to cover the costs for travel expenses, child/dependent care, and meals/refreshments.
